Hey all!

Ben was searching around Fins painting desk this week and found this little beauty!

Be vewy vewy quiet. I'm hunting witches!
Be vewy vewy quiet. I'm hunting witches!

This was shared earlier in the week on our TTCombat Community pages. There were a bunch more halflings on Fins desk so keep an eye out for more paint jobs there in the near future!

Some of our Halflings made the trip to London to see everyone at Salute.

We are now entering a very exciting period as the last of the models are being printed (treemen, marbeasts, a few heroes) Speaking of which I have more renders to show!

I also nabbed a few models for myself this week, excuse the terrible photo quality! (The Halfling archer has been on my desk for about a year now and is delighted to have some company). Those aren't toe nails on the right hand troll, just little channels to ensure the resin fills the toes.

Looking forward to splashing some paint on them soon.

We are starting to build up products into regiments to fulfil the orders and will begin shipping at the end of this month. Rather than hold everything back and ship it in one go some of the smaller orders might ship earlier in order to make the final dispatch process and picking of the mammoth pledges more manageable. On that note I am going to be locking addresses next Friday so if you need to update then do it now :D

I heard you on the resin skeletons and it got me thinking. Wouldn't it be cool if the army was full of mummies!? Mummy Archers, Cavalry riding large skeletal cats etc. Below was another concept we had done, now I'm going to add more bandages :D

The Treemen have finally reached a point where I am happy with them! You tread a fine line when making treemen as they can easily come out looking too bland and boring or too cartoony. I am very happy with where these have landed.

We are at Salute this week in London! I am hoping to have some Halflings in the display cabinet. If you backed the campaign come along and see them in the resin!

Once the models come off the 3D printer they get cleaned and a master mould is made. From this mould we make a quantity of the miniature that will be used to fill a production mould. Here are those masters waiting for a dip in silicone in order to create a production mould :)

7 miniatures in this production mould!
7 miniatures in this production mould!

From the production mould we can then cast lots of little halflings.

We have some production moulds that make 14 miniatures, we run them roughly 6 times per day. If we make just 2 production moulds for that miniature it means we can make 168 of it per day. If we need to make 10 of a production mould then we will! With all but a few renders now printed and us hoping to have all the remaining miniatures in production moulds by Friday 12th we should be fine to hit our target and ship at the end of the month :D The models we needed the most of were the first to hit the production run and as such we have hit high numbers on them already!

Last week I showed off a new halfling set for the next campaign. The Shieldmaiden Walrus rider is something I personally can't wait to see in miniature form! I thought it might be nice to show you another preview with each weekly update so I leave you with this :)

Lots of little resin halfings. A Manticore, Marbeast redesign and a look to the next campaign.

This week I popped along to the resin room and saw loads and loads of little resin halflings starting to pile up! How exciting to see these kind of quantities already made!

The Manticore Render came in this week, the wings have been enlarged since you last saw it.

Next week is Salute and I will be busy setting up a pretty big show stand hundreds of miles away. Due to this the update next Friday might have to be brief, apologies for that in advance. If you are at Salute then remember to come and say hi at the TTCombat booth. That said I realise I still haven't shown you the treemen and assuming they don't need any new edits when I get them back next week I will find time to get them up!

On that note, lets talk Marbeasts.

These have been a bit of a nightmare. They just didn't make for a good miniature.

What is it?!
What is it?!

So we went back to the drawing board and redesigned them a little. They are being rendered now and should make for a far better mini. Poses will be different, we just wanted the sculptor to see a clear difference in head options.

People have been asking about the next planned campaign. I'm still not ready to share much information on it other than it will include more fantasy miniatures. New armies, monsters, terrain and more halflings! I will leave you with this concept sketch to whet your appetite ;)

Howdy all!

I'm back from GAMA and returned to a few more completed renders. First of which is a little superstar tree!

Look at those Muschles!

The other treemen (which are taller) need a little more work but I will be able to share them next week. Along with the marbeasts and manticore they are the last renders being finished. Their production numbers aren't huge so we will still have plenty of time to make the moulds and pump out the models before the end of April when we will be shipping our project. There are currently 4 people working on moulds so there are halflings all over the place!

I don't think I shared our pasty munching referee before now, or the other new rumbleslam characters actually. Il go find them

Salute prep is the order of the day for next week as we prepare for our annual journey to London! Are you going to be there? Come see the models in the flesh!

Until next time!
